New Grass Conversion
Credits for new grass conversion are paid to operators who convert cropland into permanent grass stands. To qualify for this offset the acres must have an FSA cropping history, must have been originally seeded to grass after January 1, 2003, and must be maintained as permanent grass for the entire term of a five-year future contract. Annual crediting rates are shown on the map above.
